Transfer contacts from Apple to Android
If you are stepping into the world of Androids from the world of Apple, then the first thing that you probably would like to know is how to transfer contacts from Apple to Android. There are several ways to do it.
iPhone contacts app
The most obvious way is to do it through the iPhone contacts app.
Open the app->scroll down->tap on share contact->choose email or messaging
This way is easy but what if you have hundreds of contacts to transfer?
You will need a better and more desirable method for the transfer.
One way is to start with the Apple’s media manage software iTunes. For this you got to install the latest iTunes software in your computer.
Connect iPhone to computer->iPhones window should detect your phone->click on your device->click on info tab on the summary page->place a checkmark on Sync contacts with->choose Google contacts from the dropdown menu->click Configure->click Apply-> iTunes will sync your contacts to google account->sync Google accounts with your Android phone.

Another option is to use My contacts backup app (designed for iPhone and iPad) where your computer does not to be consulted. This is the easiest way to backup and restore your contacts all from your phone without consulting a computer or synchronization. The offline backup is good feature where you don’t need to sync to any server. Just email the backup file to yourself. You can even copy backup file to your computer via USB cable feature.
Launch the app on your iPhone->app asks to access your contacts-> tap OK->Tap Backup->attach the VCF file to an email and send it to your Gmail->open up Gmail from your Android device-> download the VCF file to import contacts to your Android phone.
How to transfer contacts with icloud
Another method to know how to transfer contacts from Apple to Android is to explore the iCloud service. This is a web based operation and USB cables are not required. iPhone has the ability to store all your contacts in your iCloud account the way Android stores its contacts in the gmail account. Looks similar!
Log in to your iCloud account->click on contacts->select the contacts you want to transfer->open the sending menu->select Export vcard->vcf file (holds copy of your contacts) will be downloaded->import contacts from vcf file to Google contacts using a browser->import file to your phone’s people or contacts app
So you can see how easy it is to transfer contacts from your iPhone to your Android smartphone. After all the phones seem to be world apart but are similar in their inviolable memory systems!
